Description:
This full-time position is responsible for building and developing control systems as well as maintaining/troubleshooting multi-slide production and assembly equipment.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Build and develop Automation equipment of varying levels of complexity
- Test and troubleshoot machinery to ensure proper functionality
- Maintain safety functions on new and current equipment
- Perform all other duties, as assigned
Skills & Requirements:
- Knowledge of PLC programming
- Knowledge of HMI programming
- Knowledge of ECAD design
- Familiarity with motion control programming
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Wiring skills
- Have the ability to follow and read electrical schematics
- Knowledge of three phase motors, variable speed frequency drives, and controls
- Knowledge of servo motors and steppers motors
- Electrical design and build of automatic control systems
- Knowledge of magnetic, ultrasonic, capacitive, and fiber optic sensors
- Knowledge of safety controls including light curtains and laser area scanners
- Be able to troubleshoot automated machinery and control systems
- Basic understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics
- Positive attitude and a team player
- 5 years’ recent experience in Electrical controls development/programming/building
- Must have own tools
Specific Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications, Etc.:
- GED or High School Diploma Required
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or other related degree would be preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
Physical Requirements:
- Be able to perform work in assembly plants
- Frequent standing, lifting, and walking
