Description:

This full-time position entails supporting production operations on an ongoing basis.  Individual will be responsible for ensuring requirements of Quality Management System are disseminated and maintained in manufacturing environment.  This role is involved with all facets of process from supplier to customer.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Ensure compliance to Quality Management System and Good Manufacturing and Documentation Practices in all assigned areas
  • Review documentation and records, follow up on corrections and take corrective action when needed, track and document activities
  • Handle quarantining of material, including proper identification, notifying internal personnel, creating reports to send to suppliers, and tracking responses/closure
  • Perform incoming inspection on raw materials
  • Carry out training resulting from new or revised processes
  • Provide feedback for inspection report update/layout
  • Coordinate calibration, including documentation, ordering/restocking gages and equipment, coordinating with service suppliers, and sending out gauges for repair/service
  • Maintain professional contact with employees and suppliers
  • Sustain organized and clean work environment
  • Perform other functions as required and be flexible with changes in priorities and scheduling
  • Perform job duties in a safe and conscientious manner, following all procedures, programs, and policies established for specific processes

Skills & Requirements:

  • Requires good analytical and math skills, and proficiency in communicating (verbal and written) in English
  • Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines
  • Attention to detail and good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

Physical Requirements:

  • Be able to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Frequent standing and walking

Specific Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications, Etc.:

  • Background in Quality is essential, familiarity with ISO, metal stamping, medical products and calibration desired
  • Previous experience in Technician/Inspector capacity
  • Familiarity inspecting parts for variables and attributes utilizing various equipment—comparator, micrometer, microscope—and entering and organizing data into various report formats (capability study, GR&R, FAI, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings/prints
  • GED or High School Diploma Required, technical degree preferred
